1. These Julie pants from Ann Taylor. I love them and wear them every day. Best fit I have ever had on a pair of pants, I really am crazy about them!

2. My Starbucks Gold Card!! How cool am I? Okay, not that cool, it just says I spend too many mornings at Starbucks, but I get an unbelievable amount of glee when I pull my Gold Card out of my wallet every morning to pay for my beverage of choice!

3. Wedding Dress Shopping. Baby sister Mel is getting married, and we had a great weekend in Denver shopping for a dress for her. It was fun to have all of the girls together for the weekend, and Mel is going to look so beautiful when she walks down the aisle in August.

4. My well stocked freezer. Someday I need to share a post with you all about that, because few things make me happier that opening my freezer every night when packing my lunch and having at least 4 or 5 homemade frozen meals to choose from. It is especially great to know that there is no preservatives or fillers in my midday meal, and that it is full of healthy grains, proteins, and veggies. I look forward to my lunch each day because it is just a boring old sandwich!

5. Celestial Seasoning Teas. I probably drink about 6-10 mugs of this every day.  Pretty much any one of the herbal varieties make me happy, but I am especially loving the Raspberry Zinger and Black Cherry Berry.  I love that they are a local company ( I have even toured their factory a couple of times) and  that I am staying so hydrated.

1. Christmas with my family.  This year was our Washington year, and it was everything I needed and more.  I am blessed, and nothings beats getting to be a part of this beautiful family. Picture by Jessica Coleman Photography

2. This moment

ImageYep, my baby sister is getting married, and if that doesn’t make me feel old…well it does. Can’t wait for the wedding this summer, and to officially welcome Mason to our crazy family (and if you doubt crazy just see the first photo in this post) Picture again by Jessica Coleman Photography

3. NFL football. I don’t know why or how I did this to myself, but somehow I became a ridiculous Bronco’s fan. Yes, there is no doubt that Tim Tebow is a part of that, I wanted to see him win so bad just to shut the haters up, that I found myself watching week after week, and now I plan church around the games. God knows that I watch more college football in a year then most women watch in their lifetime, but I got sucked in to the Bronco’s drama this year and I can not tear myself away!  And it just so happens that they have a playoff game this weekend, and you better believe I will be watching!

4. Skinny Peppermint Lattes! Finally Starbucks introduced sugar free peppermint to the masses, and it rocked my Starbucks loving world.  2 WW Points+ for my morning latte guarantees a truly awesome day!

5. Pinterest. If you do not yet know the joy that is Pinterest, you need to learn it. Could also be called the biggest time suck ever, but I can not pull myself away.  It is by invite only, if you need one let me know and I will send you one. You will not be sorry!

6. I am embarrassed to admit this next one, but I must. Breaking Dawn Part 1. Oh, you don’t know what that is, great we can still be friends.  So glad little sister Laura took me to the movies while I was home over Christmas break. I am waiting with bated breath for part 2.

7. 3 Mackey sisters singing together at church on Christmas Eve. We may be grown up and all living in different states, but there was something so sweet about coming together on Christmas Eve and singing in the church we grew up in that just warmed me up inside.

1. Wow, we are saying goodbye to the first month of the year already?!?  Before I let January go, I have to stop and be thankful for a moment for the changes that the New Year brought to me.  I am enjoying myself more now that I am trying to be more in the moment and live with more gratitude. I find myself a better person to be around lately, and that trend will continue into the New Year.  I will continue to find things to be thankful for in some of my future posts, because really there is nothing in that practice that can be harmful to any of us!

2.  Weight Watchers!  Loved it the first time around, and I love it even more this time. I am in no race to a wedding this time, I am taking my time and creating some better habits and am down 6 pounds for the month. I love the new changes they have brought to the plan, and am loving how much better I am feeling on it. I have also found a few classes at the gym that I actually look forward to going to, which has been great!

3.  Modern Family…please tell me that you are watching this show. We look forward to Wednesday nights in a big way here at our house, this show makes us laugh like no other. I loved watching them win at the SAG Awards last week!

4.  My promotion!! I am now an Assistant Manager at an extremely busy branch, and I couldn’t be more excited that my upper management saw fit to put me there.  I am pretty sure that I can go/do anything I want if I can prove myself in my new position. Sure I have my hands full now, but I am excited and extremely proud of myself, and so very thankful for the way God is continually ordering my steps!

5. Trivial Pursuit.  So honestly I have hated this game my whole life, because it was so outdated most of the questions had to do with stuff that was way older than me.  It is Michael’s favorite game though, so in a lovely gesture, I decided to get my love the game for Christmas. Best.gift.I.have.ever.bought.him!!  They have finally updated the game, and I beat Michael both times we played. Hallelujha!

6. This coach bag that was a Christmas present from my mom. Yes I know that it is actually a diaper bag, but I just needed a purse this big, and this one fit the bill. Mom picked it out all on her own, and I was crazy excited when I opened it. First ‘nice’ purse I have ever had, and I love it. Thanks again Mama, this is my new baby!

7. Las Vegas! More to come in another post, but just know that Las Vegas had to make my list for the month!

1. Christmas cookies of course.  Really I do not discriminate against cookies, I love most all of them. This year though I was particularly fond of my family’s recipe for thumbprints, and I fell in love with this ridiculously easy peanut butter cup cookie (peanut butter cookie dough placed into mini muffin pans, baked and then the heavenly goodness that is a peanut butter cup pressed down inside) These were a major hit for us this year!

2.  The Morgan family. Michael has a seriously awesome sister Whitney in Idaho, and her family is truly the best. We always have a great time when we get together, which isn’t often enough so we always stay up too late making up for it when we are back together. Her 3 kids are the greatest, I don’t know if there is anything else I love more right now than getting to be Aunt Jenn. I can not wait until we get to do it again!

3. Candied Nuts.  I couldn’t get enough of these this month. I made a huge batch and enjoyed them on everything. I finally had to take them into work so that I could quit eating them.

4. The best Christmas present ever! Michael got me tickets to the see the Phantom of the Opera in Las Vegas, and I can not wait. Most thoughtful gift ever, it is going to be awesome!

5.  My Nativity. It is my favorite decoration to put up every year. I love the simpleness of it, and the wonderful story that it represents.

6.  My reason for Christmas, my Lord Jesus Christ.  He has blessed me with so much, and I deserve none of it.  What a gift we got when we were blessed with him some 2000 years ago, and I always love that we have a month to celebrate and remember it.

Today I am grateful for the awesome CU football game that happened this last Saturday.  My husband is so much easier to be around when we are winning games, and right now we are number 1 in our conference. Woo Hoo Buffs!

So I am little behind schedule here, seeing as it is the 17th of December already…but none the less here it is!

1.  The shoes. You know the ones I told you about here. I love them, you can put hardly anything else on my feet lately. I LOVE them!!

2. Modern Family. Are you watching this show yet. It is so fantastically funny. Michael and I laugh for the solid 30 minutes it is on tv, and we are always sad when it is over. It is so good that we are excited when the reruns are on so we can watch it again!

3. Friends who became family! We are so blessed to have Cynthia and Nobie in our lives. They flew up from California to spend Thanksgiving with us and it was wonderful.  We all had a great time and amazing food all weekend long.

4. The end of the CU Football season. I know that football pays my bills, but my Lord it is so nice to have a Saturday with my husband again. Hooray for the return of the weekend!

5.  My Christmas tree. All 7.5 feet of pre-lit beauty. Went up the Saturday following Thanksgiving, and it is still looking great. So easy to put up, and no mess.

6. Veuve Clicquot pink Champagne. A special treat with our Thanksgiving appetizer, and it was love at first sip!

All things loved…

Monthly roundup of all the things that I am loving on this last month.

1. Starbucks Via (mocha flavored) Cheaper way to get my everyday coffee fix, and I still feel like I am getting a little something special!  A little cold nonfat milk mixed with some via and hot water, and I am on my way to a very happy morning!

2. My Dad! I got to go home for my Dad’s 50th birthday this month, what a joy it was to share in that party. My dad is so loved by so many people, as was evidenced by the full house at the party we threw. He has lived a life that has been an example for so many people, and I am so thankful that I got to grow up under his Godly influence! He is a man of God in every sense, and I am truly blessed to be able to call him my father.

3. Of course the trip was equally wonderful because of my family. We all made it home for the weekend, and it was fantastic. It seems that getting all 3 girls home at the same time may be a challenge for the rest of our lives, but for this weekend we all made it, and it was the best.  There are few things my mom loves best then finding the 3 of us in the kitchen together, and that is where we spent a lot of time. I am so thankful for my mom, who made it possible for all of us to be there, and for my 2 sisters, who make life so much more fun. I wish we got to see each other more often, but I will cherish what we do get!

4. Batdog. ’nuff said

5. New job!!! I was blessed with a promotion that went into effect on October 1st, and with the promotion came a change of scenery, and I couldn’t be happier! I love where I am currently placed, I am learning so much, and I even get to carpool into work together with Michael.  I am so thankful for this opportunity, I LOVE LOVE LOVE what I am currently doing!

6. Pumpkin everything.  I have been busy in the kitchen making pumpkin scone, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin bread, pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, pumpkin butter, pumpkin cream cheese and anything else that you can stick pumpkin in to! I love it for the taste and the nutritional content. It is also delish in your oatmeal with some cinnamon and brown sugar. Pumpkin is one of those seasonal things that I can only bake with for a short window, so I tend to make the most of it!

7. Old friends. What a blessing that after so many years and disagreements, friends can catch back up like yesterday was the last time that they saw each other. Our lives have all changed so much since those early days, but old friends are like family, and they are treasured!
